• I am a new school nurse and need a crash course to understand Medicaid and MO HealthNet.  Where should I start?  Begin your learning with a slide deck presented by MO Health Net to school nurses at the Health Office Orientation, a training session in July 2017 coordinated by State School Nurse Consultant Marjorie Cole RN.  Special thanks to Helen Jaco, Director of Managed Care, and Sidney Wilde RN, Clinical Operations Nurse Managed Care for sharing these materials.
  
  
• Where can I get marketing materials to promote School Nurse Link?  A direct mail and social media campaign is under development to promote School Nurse Link.  Sample materials are available on the About page.

• Will other states or health plans be added to School Nurse Link?   Maybe. Other states and commercial health plans may be added to the School Nurse Link program in the future.  We welcome partnership opportunities. Please contact us.
  
  
• Does a parent need 5 days notice to get transportation to a medical visit?   No.  Care coordinators can arrange same-day or next day transportation in most cases.
  
  
• What information can school nurses share with health plans?   It depends on what is covered by the FERPA consent form that has been signed by the parent/guardian.  The template provided on this website would grant permission to share all health record information maintained by the school necessary for health plans to contact the parent/guardian and assist with getting medical care and support services for which a student is eligible.
